Beijing – the capital of China

Beijing – the capital of China. Beijing is the third largest by the number of residents city in China after of Chongqing and Shanghai and the largest railway and the highway site, as well as one of the main air hub of the country. Beijing is the most important educational, cultural  and  political center of China. The main economic centers are Shanghai and Hong Kong.

There are many former imperial palaces, parks, monasteries and churches in Beijing. The strict geometric proportions of the built-ups along the axes of the north-south east-west symmetry of the arrangement led to the most important buildings of the old and new Beijing with respect to the axial lines of the giant through the center of the Forbidden City.

Forbidden City palace complex in central Beijing, that served as a residence for 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, was built in 1406-1420. It has 9999 separate rooms that collect antiques and objects of the imperial household. Forbidden City is the largest palace complex in China.

400 000 sq. meters Tiananmen Square is the largest in the world. Tiananmen Square is an entrance to the Forbidden City, one of the favorite Beijing places.

Tian Tan (Temple of Heaven) was built in 1420g. This is China’s largest temple complex. The sanctuary was a place of imperial prayers to the glory of heaven for the sending of the crop. Here is the famous Wall of reflected sound, which reproduces the words spoken in a whisper in the perimeter of 64 m.

Summer Palace (Summer Palace) during the late Qing was a park and summer residence of the emperors. Here is an enormous collection of antiques and jewelry.

Liulichang – Street Antiques in downtown. Walking through it is an excursion into the history of China. It offers almost everything that can show off in the fields of art and kitsch.

Nightlife in Beijing is rich in a variety of entertainment. Most night clubs are located in the Sanlitun area or around the Stadium of workers to the north and west. Lively night life can also be observed in the Wudaokou, north-west of Beijing.

In the two decades after the founding of the PRC in 1949 in Beijing, there were virtually no hotels in the Western sense of the word. Today Beijing is one of the most frequently visited cities and important economic, political and cultural centers of Asia. The city has a huge number of hotels and many of them meet the highest international standards.
